We’ve often heard that making changes in our lifestyle will help us lead a happier and healthier life. But what if we tell you that you can improve your English by making a change in your lifestyle.

- Practice the 4 core skills — Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.
- Watch English news channels only.
- Make vocabulary lists. Write down new words and new phrases with their meanings on a sheet of paper. Refer to that sheet everyday.
- Learn a lesson each day.
- Use your native language lesser and lesser. This may seem weird first but it is an essential step towards gaining fluency in a new language.
- Speak in English with your family. By doing so, you will gradually stop conversing in your mother tongue and your focus will shift towards English. This will improve your language.
- Watch shows and movies only in English with English subtitles.
- Maintain a journal. Note down all important rules that you come across in your journal.
- Set S.M.A.R.T. goals.
- Learn to enjoy the learning process. The more you feel like you’re doing it for fun, the faster you’ll observe growth.
- Connect with people who are also trying to learn English.
- Find study buddies! Make learning fun and enjoy the process.
- Test your knowledge. Take periodic tests to understand how close you are to your goals.

- Take up a research-based project in English. This will expose you to the possibilities of the language.
- Be mindful of punctuations! Punctuations can make or break your sentence. They can also completely change the meaning.
- Lastly, Allow yourself enough time. Don’t rush the process.
